Dental FAQs

Do you treat children?

Absolutely! At Gardner Dentists, we recommend children come for their first dental appointment as soon as their first tooth appears.  It is never too early to get them comfortable and in the habit of visiting the dentist, and our team loves working with kids.  Of course, we welcome patients of all ages – even adults still acting like kids.

Does your practice offer the latest technology?

Every year, the tools of dentistry become more advanced, and the patient benefits are significant.  Technology can make the best dental care less invasive, more comfortable and more affordable.  And, one of the biggest changes in recent years has been the introduction of digital technology.  With digital technology, Dr. Markway and Dr. Haworth are able to capture clear, detailed images of your smile.  This is very important because a clear picture makes it easier for our team to understand your needs and to recommend the best treatment alternatives.

How often should I see a dentist?

In normal circumstances, we recommend seeing a dentist as least twice a year.  These visits will generally include cleanings and exams, and they are the key to practicing the preventive dentistry that makes it possible to stop small issues in their tracks – before they become significant problems.

What payment options do I have?

We are happy to accept cash, personal checks, Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

In addition, we are proud to partner with CareCredit. The leading source of patient financing for healthcare related services.  CareCredit allows you to spread your payments over a period of time, interest free. Is Invisalign right for me?

Invisalign is a proven system for straightening mildly misaligned teeth. It utilizes a series of clear trays instead of metal brackets to move teeth. However, there are limits to the amount of movement that can be achieved.

For patients who need more advanced orthodontic care, traditional braces may still be the best solution. To request a free, Invisalign or braces consultation, give us a call today.

Do you have sedation options?

Yes, we offer two, great options: nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation. Both can help patients who struggle with anxiety to overcome their feelings of stress.  Most importantly, this allows them to get the important dental care they need.  If anxiety is keeping you from going to the dentist and taking care of your teeth, one of our sedation options might be just what the doctor orders.

Do you place and restore dental implants?

Yes!  Dental implants are an exceptional treatment option and we help make it easy, by offering both dental implant placement and restoration.  Our patients appreciate the benefits and convenience of receiving the total care they need from a team they already know and trust.
